Accomplish Twice The Work In Half The Time In Your Internet Biz

Ask yourself: What is the main reason you wanted to be in this industry? Why did you want to work from home?

I know that my answer, even before money, is that I want to have more time to do things I want to do. Things like be with my family, travel, go camping, and a lot of other activities. I’ve met plenty of people who feel this same way. If I can have the time to be with my family and do all the things I want, but only make $60,000 a year, I would still be a network marketer. It’s just a plus that you can get insanely rich at it too.

So, it becomes a paradox that most network marketers work their business all day! I must confess that for a long time I worked 12-14 hours a day, every day. I didn’t have the freedom that I claimed I had and wanted. At least not until I discovered a little secret about how to get more work done in MUCH less time!

I analyzed what I was actually doing in my 12 hour work days. I realized that most of what I was doing didn’t produce results. I was spending my time Googling stuff or checking out a new company or tool. I would spend WAY too much time tweaking my blog and other sites so that they looked perfect. And surprise, surprise! I wasn’t having success.

That’s when I came up with the idea of "meat and potatoes". Your "meat and potatoes" are the activities you do that produce results. They are the bang-for-your buck activities, basically the activities you have to be doing every day to have success. These activities are the "meat and potatoes" of your business marketing plan!

The idea is that you have to form a list of activities that you will do every single day that generate leads. If you aren’t sure if an activity is one that should be a part of your "meat and potatoes", ask yourself, "If I do MORE of this, will it produce MORE leads?" If the answer is yes, then include it.

This isn’t just a normal "I’ll create a list every night and do it tomorrow" kind of thing, it’s much more than that. It has to be a carefully crafted outline of your marketing activities that you plan once, and you do it every single day.

The whole point of having your "meat and potatoes" is to keep yourself from getting distracted. When you don’t know what you want to do, you end up Googling your life away! You spend your time on things that aren’t as important. When you get up every day, the first thing you do is to finish your "meat and potatoes". When you are done with that, then you can play around with your blog or read up on some new tool. This is the only way to guarantee that you accomplish something every single day.

So, it's to do some work today that will produce results for the est of your life!
